Healing can feel like navigating without a map—terrifying yet beautiful—but I believe everyone is capable of growth, resilience, and healing. In therapy, I create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they explore both their internal and external worlds. I take a person-centered approach, valuing each individual’s unique perspective and experiences, and have experience working with adolescents, adults, and especially the LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse communities. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, interpersonal trauma, gender and sexual identity exploration, religious abuse, and life transitions. My approach combines Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Component-Based Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT), in which I hold a Level 1 Certification. With trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices, I aim to empower clients to embrace their identities and navigate life’s challenges with resilience and self-compassion.

Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our two dogs, and our little flock of chickens. I love being outdoors, watching women’s soccer, reading, and playing video games.

My Specialties:

Some things you may hear me say in session…

“You make sense” – I believe that when we take the context of a person’s life into account, their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and struggles will pretty much always make sense.

“You have to work with your brain, not against it.” – There’s really no “one size fits all” when it comes to our brains. We have to learn what we need in order to be well and function at our fullest potential.

A quote a I love that says something about my work…

“True belonging doesn’t require us to change who we are; it requires us to be who we are.”

― Brené Brown
