Green Door Therapy Co-Founder and Therapist
(She/her)
I believe therapy is a space where you can reconnect with your most authentic self. In today’s world, many of us experience anxiety, depression, stress, and disconnection from ourselves and others. My goal is to help you navigate life’s challenges with skills that build self-compassion, mindfulness, and embodiment. Central to my work is helping you build resilience to shame, deepen your connection to your intuition, and honor your humanity. No matter who I am working with, these foundations are always integral, guiding us toward self-awareness, growth, and creating a life that feels true to you. Together, we’ll explore creative ways for you to show up within the ebbs and flows of life and take steps towards the growth you desire.
Outside of my work at Green Door Therapy, you can find me having adventures with my husband and 2 children, running, being creative, and always learning something new.
Bridget Recommends:
Lately I’ve been recommending books like “The Wisdom of Your Body” by Hillary McBride and “Burnout” by Emily and Amelia Nagoski.
There is so much to learn and I love learning along with my clients. I love introducing people to breathwork, encourage my clients to move their bodies and rest their bodies in ways that feel aligned to them, and I love sharing quotes and poems in sessions. Sometimes, there's nothing like dancing to a great song at the end of a hard day.
Some things you may hear me say in session…
“That makes sense”
“Giving yourself permission to begin again is so important”
“We can and often do feel many feelings about the same things. And is a powerful word”
“The story we tell ourselves about what happens matters. You get to decide what lens and perspective feels most true to you to tell”
A quote a I love that says something about my work…
“Inevitabilities” by Cleo Wade
It will get messy (your life)
It will break (your heart)
But
Oh, the joy
Of all you learn
And the power
You gain
When you figure out
How to clean it up
And make your
Heart whole
Again
&again
&agian &again.”
